Canadian Transportation Research Forum

The Canadian Transportation Research Forum (CTRF), a non-profit association of transportation professionals, held its 53rd Annual Conference in Gatineau, Quebec, from June 3 to 6, 2018. The conference’s theme—the Future of Canada’s Transportation System—examined Canada’s future transportation challenges and the country’s ability to address these challenges and maintain a reliable and competitive transportation system. The 2018 CTRF conference consisted of three plenary sessions, concurrent paper sessions, two keynote speakers and technical tours.

At this year’s conference, Transport Canada and Statistics Canada made several presentations on the importance of data and analytics in supporting evidence-based decisions concerning the transportation system.
