Description: This table presents the evolution of the new vehicle registration market share of new medium- and heavy-duty zero-emission vehicles in Canada from 2020 to 2024. The market share has increased since 2020 showing that more Canadian businesses have been adopting zero-emission alternatives instead of conventional gasoline or diesel medium- and heavy-duty vehicles, but remains below 2%.

Methodology: The market share is calculated by dividing the number of new medium- and heavy-duty zero emission vehicles registered in a given year by the total number of new medium- and heavy-duty vehicles registered during the same year.
