Description: This table presents the evolution of the new vehicle registration market share of new light-duty zero-emission vehicle registrations in Canada from 2016 to 2024. The market share has been increasing since 2020 showing that more and more Canadians have been adopting zero-emission vehicles instead of internal combustion engine vehicles.

Methodology: The market share is calculated by dividing the number of new light-duty zero emission vehicles registered in a given year by the total number of new light-duty vehicles registered during the same year.
